Hi, I’m Michele!

I started my career as a leadership coach in 1997 but after a while, a pattern emerged:

my executive clients asked me to help them with their relationships. 

These high-performance couples taught me priceless lessons about how to make a good marriage great... and what it looks like to take full responsibility for creating the love and passion you want.

Only problem was, as I coached them, I saw all too clearly:

I was not living my vision in my own marriage. 

Kurt and I have been together for 28 years and married since 2000.  

We knew we had a soul-deep bond from the beginning… But we also had just about every problem under the sun: 

Infidelity.

Substance abuse.

Money problems.

All-night arguments.

I thought I could see so clearly how he needed to change and grow.

But our relationship transformed the most when I stopped worrying about whether he was up for the love I wanted.

I had to confront my fears.

I feared failure.

I was afraid I'd be rejected (or people would think I had been)

I feared what divorce would do to me, to him, to our children, to our community.

I have been so afraid. By turning to face those fears, I came to know the power within and behind me.

Kurt and I have recovered together.  Cried and healed and learned to hold our shape and tell the truth and tolerate discomfort and listen and stay.

Yes, he has grown.  But my trying to make him show up for the relationship I wanted never worked.  Doing MY work magnetized him to rise as the king I always knew he was. 

And now? I have that soul-deep love and aliveness I always craved. I still get angry, scared, tired, and sad.

But I've learned to let my body, rather than my all-too-sharp mind, lead me through those moments.

I tend my vulnerable and scrappy parts, rather than letting them hijack me.
